All sorts of Warner character fabrics went into these next few quilts.  Don’t know why I am so fascinated with this wonderful imagery:  perhaps just wanting to return to my youth.

I cut so many squares to audition colors for the Four Square quilt.  None of them seemed to work, but I kept cutting.  I finally found the right fabric for that quilt, and noticed that all the auditioned fabrics automatically coordinated with each other, so they got stitched up quickly and easily.  The borders help make this quilt look nothing like its progenitor.

MEDIUM

Coordinated vegetable-themed fabrics were fun to work with in this pattern that I developed for kits for the Children’s Quilt Project, and this was an excellent opportunity for me to teach myself a different quilting pattern for a border.

The triangles used in this quilt were made by cutting in half vertically the equilateral triangles leftover from the 100 Pyramids quilt–a fun exercise.
