Just sit down and sew

13 03 2015

I am still in the mood of wanting to sit down and sew, life continuing to be a bit hectic.   And I have sewn a lot—finished one top and have it pinned and ready to quilt, almost finished with another top, and have finished these two lap quilts.  Done feels nice.

One made from my old favorites, the 2.5″ squares

A wonderful way to just sit and sew is by putting two fabrics together and sewing them with half square triangle paper.  Once you find the Triangle Zone, these things seem to make themselves.

Start with the fabrics—–

Cut apart the sewn triangle papers to make something like this—–

Pull off all the paper and arrange these squares in any of many, many different patterns.  These are just a few that I’m using in the piece that is almost finished.

Soooooo much fun.
